Thursday 19th... After checking in, we relaxed from our trips, visited, and  filled ourselfs with Snacks, Beverages and Sandwiches

After breakfast in the hotel restaurant we met in the lobby at 8:30 to drive a few short blocks to the Cosmosphere Space Center where, at an IMAX THEATER, we were first show an impressive movie on how the new space station was constructed, to date.

With a U.S. space artifact collection second only to the National Air and Space Museum and the largest collection of Russian space artifacts found outside of Moscow, the Cosmosphere’s Hall of Space Museum is uniquely positioned to tell the story of the Space Race.

Vern Bouwman, with the aid of his computer and a projector rented with the help of the crew members, displayed our memories that we know to date about the Kawishiwi.
At this date we had data 9 cruise books and data provided by the crew members.

After breakfast in the hotel restaurant we again met in the lobby to drive a few miles 
by Bus to the Exploration Place in Wichita.

You’ll discover engaging, stimulating, one-of-a-kind environments and hands-on experiences  about flight, health and human life, people, places and environments of Kansas, and the world of human imagination.

A delicious Banquet was served with music supplied by Nancy's sister, husband and sisters daughter. A few Kawishiwi items were auctioned off, the annual Gift Exchange was held being trinkets from attending crew members state. A short Business Meeting was held. It was hoped the Robert Taylor would agree to host the reunion in Mobil Alabama. The highlight of the evening was Bernard DeVries account of his surprise diploma he received while attending his grandson graduation. Bernard also presented a jar of honey to each attending family.
